Hautpoul with the golden eggs…
Hautpoul, what a discovery! This extraordinary village boasts a beautiful medieval heritage and an important place in the history of the territory: Historical cradle of the town of Mazamet, refuge of the Cathars of the Montagne Noire, wars between Catholics and Protestants… Yes, this site is of historical, cultural and natural “richness”.
The fabulous torchlight tour
Just as in the Middle Ages when people used candles for light, the Tourist Office has "taken up the torch" to offer you wonderful tours of Hautpoul. As night falls, the famous troubadour of the Montagne Noire , "Aymeric de Miraval," will lead you through the steep, narrow streets of the village, illuminated only by the glow of torches . In this timeless and luminous world, he will bring to life the legends and glorious history of Hautpoul: simply captivating!
